Did you know we have an appliance outlet in Minneapolis?

August 1, 2011

We have kitchen and home appliances stores throughout the Twin Cities, but for the last several years we’ve also had an appliance outlet in Minneapolis, right on Nicollet Avenue (2 blocks west of 35W & Diamond Lake Road).

You can still access our same inventory of new household appliances, but the Outlet Center is home to our best discounts for those looking for budget (aka cheap) appliances. It’s not just scratch and dent, but also seasonal merchandise and discontinued models.

Think Warners’ Stellian warehouse sale, all year round.

Next year, we’ll be celebrating our 25th year in the Windom neighborhood at this location. Thanks to everyone who continues to support local, independent businesses like ours!

Minneapolis – St. Paul Home Tour this weekend

April 29, 2011

No one can argue with the Parade of Homes and Remodelers’ Showcase being the biggest home tour, but this weekend’s Minneapolis – St. Paul Home Tour offers great options for city-dwellers to see real people’s remodeled and redecorated homes in their own neighborhoods.

The free, self-guided tour includes 55 homes within the Minneapolis and St. Paul city limits with a focus on the actual homeowners sharing their experiences and ideas. The homes range in eras and lifestyles to offer a realistic look at the diverse housing and neighborhoods in the cities.

Plus, the projects are sure to be great, as some of our favorite companies did the work, including Castle Building & Remodeling, Rehkamp Larson Architects and Jones Design Build.

Filter the home search online to find homes near you or pick up a guide book at local libraries. (I have six homes within walking distance in my part of Minneapolis alone.) Here’s when you can check it out:

Meet DIY Network’s ‘Rehab Addict’ this Wednesday

February 21, 2011

Nicole Curtis works on the Lyndale House during this season of DIY Network's "Rehab Addict."

Don’t be fooled by her frame.

She might be petite, but star of DIY Network’s “Rehab Addict” Nicole Curtis shows old homes who’s boss.

Read more about the local Realtor, investor and single mom in this Sunday’s Star Tribune article ‘A Jill of all trades.

This season, Nicole Curtis takes a 1916 Arts and Crafts-style home in the Tangletown neighborhood of Minneapolis from unlivable to unbelievable (trust me, I’ve walked through it).

And this Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Warners’ Stellian Edina (across from the Galleria), she’ll use her experience fixing and selling home to teach you the best ways you can improve the resale value of your own home. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

After her presentation, you can meet Nicole and ask your own questions. We’ll also see scenes from the next week’s episode, which features Nicole appliance shopping at Warners’ Stellian.

Plus, eat well with Hors d’Ĺ“uvres from D’Amico & Sons and of course, drinks too.

We’re so excited, and it’s free, so we hope you can join us!
